Gabrielle expresses her thoughts and ideas clearly and succinctly. Her straightforward nature allows her to cut through complexities and deliver her message effectively. Her ability to communicate with clarity is highly valued in both academic and social settings. An attentive and focused learner, Gabrielle was committed to her studies. She ensured that she fully grasped the subject matter and was an active participant in class discussions. In 2022, she received the Edusave Good Progress Award for being within the top 10% of the school's cohort in terms of improvement in academic performance.
Gabrielle’s participation in the Angklung and Kulintang Ensemble from 2020 to 2023 showcased her talent and free-spirited nature. As the main cajon player, she displayed strong musicality and a deep appreciation for traditional music. She often added her unique touch, bringing life and vibrancy to the ensemble's performances and activities. She as an active participant in performances, including Angklung Night 2020 and school events such as, the Chinese New Year and Teacher's Day celebrations in 2022. She was also part of the ensemble that participated in the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentations, attaining a Centificate of Distinction and Accomplishment in 2021 and 2023 respectively. During the school's 90th Anniversary Carnival in 2023 she contributed to the efficient operation of the Angklung and Kulintang Ensemble booth. She actively engaged with Visitors, stamped passports, greeted guests, and provided directions. Gabrielle also served in her Class Management Committee as the Learning for Lite Program Champion in 2022. Perceptive and sensitive to others needs and concerns she demonstrated good leadership by offering guidance, providing support, and promoting a collaborative environment. Her ability to discern the underlying issues made her a trusted and respected leader.
Gabrielle’s commitment to community service was unwavering. In 2020, Gabrielle showed reflection and gratitude while assembling gift packs and writing notes of encouragement for COVID-19 frontline staff. in the same year. she also wrote messages of hope to residents of St. Theresa's Home and St. Joseph's Home. In 2022, she actively participated in a school-initiated project called 'Appreciation for Migrant Workers, organised in collaboration with the Archdiocesan Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants & Itinerant People. Throughout the project, she attended virtual meetings, diligently took notes on the well-being of migrant workers, and raised awareness throuch a class presentation. She also contributed to the packing of goodie bags filled with essential items, demonstrating her thoughtfulness.
